At beginning of Dec. 2024, 2 sets 80T straddle carriers ordered by Africa Bridge & Road contractor was completed pre-assembly, factory commissioning and test. The activity of factory test is of crucial importance as it verifies that the cranes' performance meets the standards. Through commissioning, it can be checked whether the 80t straddle carriers can lift the rated load stably and smoothly, ensuring that they can operate efficiently and safely at the construction site in Africa.

  

All systems of the 80t straddle carriers, including the wiring, tubing connection, lifting system, traveling system, steering system and control system, tandem operation, independent operations are thoroughly tested. This helps to detect any potential malfunctions or problems in the systems at an early stage, so that timely adjustments and repairs can be made to avoid breakdowns and accidents during actual operation.

Safety is of utmost importance in the operation of cranes. The commissioning stage in factory allows for the checking of the 80t straddle carriers' safety devices, such as the overload protection device, limit switch and braking system, to ensure that these devices function properly and can effectively protect the safety of personnel and crane at the construction site.

The factory test helps crane running-in. The commissioning process enables the parts to gradually adapt to each other through operation under various working conditions, reducing the wear and tear of the components and extending the service life of the 80t straddle carriers.
